Journal prompts generator
A question to start today's page. Pick a theme and strike; there are no wrong answers and no word count.
What is a moment from this week you keep coming back to? What does it want you to notice?
Journal prompts made for you
Describe what is on your mind in a sentence. The AI writes five gentle, specific prompts for it. Keep it general; you do not need to share names.
AI output is generated by openai/gpt-6-luna via Vercel AI Gateway. It can be wrong or odd; the prompt lists on this page work without it.
Why the shape of a journal question matters
The same worry can be asked three ways, and each shape sends your writing somewhere different. Choose a situation, then switch the question shape.
Was this week bad?
A closed question can be answered in one word. You write "yes", feel slightly worse, and close the notebook.

Questions writers ask
What are journal prompts?
Journal prompts are questions or sentence starters that give a journaling session a focus. They are useful when you want to write but do not know where to begin.
How do I use a journal prompt generator?
Choose a theme, strike a prompt, and write for five to fifteen minutes. If the first prompt does not land, strike again. There is no limit.
Is journaling good for mental health?
Research on expressive writing, starting with James Pennebaker's studies in the 1980s, found modest benefits for many people. Journaling is a helpful habit, not a substitute for professional care.
Is anything I type into the AI stored?
We do not keep it. Your text is sent to the AI model only to generate prompts, and saved prompts stay in your own browser. Avoid typing names or details you would not want to share with an online service.
